AFE is proud to have participated in the El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) and CineGouna Platform, a celebration of regional talent and a hub for groundbreaking cinematic projects. This event provided an exceptional opportunity to connect with filmmakers, industry professionals, and audiences passionate about bringing MENA stories to the global stage.
One of the key highlights was a workshop featuring our own Wesam Kattan, who joined an esteemed panel to discuss how the rich cinematic heritage of Egypt and Saudi Arabia is shaping the future of MENA cinema. The session explored how the region’s storytelling traditions and cultural diversity can inspire bold, innovative projects that resonate worldwide.
Another significant moment was the Pitching Workshop, proudly sponsored by AFE Studio. Led by Paul Foley, the workshop brought together emerging filmmakers supported by CineGouna, helping them refine their narratives and develop compelling pitches. This initiative awarded funding to numerous projects, empowering creators to turn their visions into reality. Paul worked closely with the winning filmmakers, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure their stories stood out to potential partners.
El Gouna Film Festival continues to be a vital platform for fostering creativity, collaboration, and innovation in MENA cinema. AFE Studio is honored to support this mission and remains committed to championing authentic storytelling that bridges cultures and captivates audiences.
Here’s to a future filled with extraordinary stories from the region, and to the incredible talent that makes it all possible!
